А его правительство, за исключением разве что Дмитрия Рогозина, которого Сурков запрессовал туда, чтобы в итоге слить, оформит костяк будущей оппозиционной антипутинской либеральной силы, которая станет новым контактором Госдепа в России вместо всё провалившей нынешней «болотной» оппозиции. Здесь пригодятся и налаженные Сурковым во времена работы одноимённой комиссии по правам человека связи с нынешним послом США Майклом Макфолом.
Следует вспомнить и то, что пресс-секретарь Медведева Наталья Тимакова, по свидетельству некоторых непосредственных участников событий, стояла за декабрьскими и последующими выступлениями «болотных», напрямую контактируя с Удальцовым, а в самом начале - с Дёмушкиным, и позднее - со всеми остальными «болотными» лидерами, вплоть до прокола 6 мая, когда вмешалась внешняя сила в лице Гиви Торгамадзе, а с протестов спала пелена респектабельности, что бросало тень уже на патрона Тимаковой.
Ко всему этому, как сейчас выясняется в ходе скандала с депутатом Ильёй Пономарёвым, «Сколково», курируемое Сурковым, по сути финансировало оппозицию посредством т. н. гонораров за лекции. На этом попался пока только Пономарёв, но сколько государственных средств реально прошло через «Сколково» на финансирование антипутинской оппозиции - ещё стоит выяснить.
